English as a Second Language:
Our program is a complete multi-level course for adult and young adult learners who want to use American English both accurately and fluently. It has a unique “ natural approach to language learning. The program provides rich language input in authentic conversations together with receptive activities that help students absorb new functions, grammar structures and vocabulary. Real-life language tasks offer both focused practice and opportunities for natural interaction, promoting both fluency and accuracy. Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation and Intonation rules are explained and practiced thoroughly, and all four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing are developed systematically. Students progress from the beginning to the advanced level as they follow a comprehensive and carefully graded syllabus. Our methods and approaches are based on research in Psycholinguistics. They make the learning of English stimulating, motivating, and effective.

Business English:
The program is designed to help the students gain language skills and cultural understanding they need to function successfully in the U.S. workplace. The students will learn what to say in everyday business situations and will become familiar with common forms of speech and practices in all major facets of business. Topics covered include standard practices in telephone conversation, making sales, speaking at business meetings, observing social etiquette and much more. The students will be exposed to authentic business-oriented reading passages, taken from the variety of sources. There are integrated writing tasks, such as writing summaries, reports, letters and memos. Strong emphasis on listening will allow the students to improve this skill. On advanced levels materials will deal with international issues of interest: Marketing, Brand Leaders, Selling, Telecommunicating, Prices, Cultural Awareness, Monopolies, Entertaining, Finance, Corporative Structure, Management, Economic Issues. Controlled activities provide practice with grammar and vocabulary and the mechanisms of everyday business writing. The writing tasks teach how to initiate new correspondence and how to respond appropriately and write financial reports. The evaluation section at the end of each topic focuses on what the students have learned and where the student’s areas of weakness remain.

The program is designed to develop the understanding of medical vocabulary to function in a wide variety of health related settings. The course gives a new approach to important medical terms,illustrates medical terminology within the context of stories about patients. Students will study word elements (prefixes, suffixes and roots), terms in anatomy and physiology, selected diseases, symptoms, procedures, x-ray and laboratory tests in common usage, and commonly used abbreviations. Emphasis will be on accurate spelling, meaning of terms and word elements. Extensive practice will be provided in reading or listening to medical terminology and understanding its meaning, pronouncing terms correctly, and writing medical vocabulary appropriately.
TOEFL
